Ex Dolo₁ is the current home-on-the-web of Stephen Caudill. He used to roost at mechavox.com, but so much has changed personally and professionally since he started that site (c. 2001) that he felt new diggs were in order to be able to reflect where he was in his life (damn the PageRank!).

Stephen has been a professional web developer since 1999. He’s worked for a national publisher where he wrote the backend for their public facing services, a national online real estate services provider where he supported and extended their 15,000 user CMS, did freelance Java work for the State of Florida building internal information systems and he’s currently stupid happy developing his brain-child, JamLab, which helps musicians “Make Music Together” over distance. Stephen Loves Ruby. Loves it. He also thinks that kid Rails (a friend of Ruby’s, you might have heard of him) is a mensch and has been hanging out and working with him since October, 2004.

Stephen also has an intense passion for music. He’s been producing digital music since the late 90’s, scribbling rhymes in notepads since the early 90’s and has been a consumate hip hop head since the first time he heard Rakim’s Follow the Leader in 1988.

Stephen also occassionally weirds himself out thoroughly by talking about himself in the third person.

₁ Ex dolo is latin, meaning litterally: “intentionally”, but connotes as: “with intent”. Since Stephen tends to be very methodical these days, it seemed an appropriate name for his new domain.
