I spent a bit of time this afternoon getting Dan Webb’s Code Highlighter plugin (found via mephistoblog) up and running (you can see my results here).
It’s marvelous! The language grammars used to highlight a given languages syntax are very straightforward (assuming you are a fair hand with regular expression.. it never ceases to amaze me how different regular expression implementations can be) and easy to extend. So I did a bit of hacking around and gave some highlight lovin to constants, symbols, instance variables and instance methods. I just mailed Dan the patch, so maybe he’ll include it in the distribution, but if you’re itching to get it now, here is: a patch for Filtered Column Code Highlighter’s Ruby syntax
time for me to get dug in before Ernesto (yay)
Update: The patch is in. Get it while it’s hot ;)
